About the project
Viterra proposes to demolish the access point to an old wood dock near Cascadia's Annex 4 and construct a crane pad within the same general footprint. The project would consist of:
- Removal of the precast concrete access point and its two support piles
- Installation of four (4) 914-millimetre diameter piles - two offshore and two onshore piles
- These piles are required to support the new crane pad.
- Installation of the crane pad
- The crane pad would consist of a galvanized fabricated steel assembly designed to be either lowered into place or constructed on-site.
