Overview
On April 26, 2023 a project permit was issued to install a new dock at 374 Seashell Lane, North Vancouver, British Columbia on federal lands and water managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority
The project was approved subject to 38 permit conditions the applicant must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects. Please see the Impact Assessment Act Registry for the Notice of Intent and Notice of Decision.
About the project
The proposed Project is for an installation of a new recreational dock at 374 Seashell Lane, North Vancouver.
The proposed dock includes the following features:
- Approximately 33.5 metre long (1.2 metre wide) aluminum pier section with perforated decking that would sit on two approximately 760 mm diameter precast concrete columns
- Approximately 16.7 metre long (1.2 metre wide) aluminum ramp with hinges and wheels on the float end to accommodate the rising and lowering of the tide
- Approximately 30 square metre float composed of CCA treated Douglas Fir, which will be towed into place and moored in the water by 2 (400 mm) steel piles (vibratory hammer).
