Overview
On November 3, 2022, a project permit was issued to Upland Owner to develop a New Dock Installation at 184 Turtlehead Road in Belcarra, British Columbia on federal lands and waters managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
The project was approved subject to 36 permit conditions applicant must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects. Please see the Impact Assessment Act Registry for the Notice of Intent and Notice of Decision.
About the project
The project is for a new recreational dock at 184 Turtlehead Road, Belcarra, BC. The proposed dock will include the following features:
- An approximately 5 square metre fixed dock comprised of a concrete column and wood beam secured to granite rock to support the gangway
- An approximately 1.2 metre wide by 15 metres long engineered aluminum gangway
- Approximately 30 square metre pre-fabricated moorage float (dock) made of an aluminum frame with foam-filled billets under cedar or composite decking
